The fleshy nature of the lobe along with only a small amount of nerve endings in that part of the ear means that people tend to tolerate this piercing pain very well.
 
 Healing: Ear lobe piercings generally heal very well, within approximately 6-8 weeks provided the correct aftercare procedure is followed. However you willneed to wait a little longer for the hole to completely heal, allowing you to remove your earrings without the holes closing over.  Jewellery: Ear lobe piercings are definitely one of the most versatile piercings, with a wealth of different jewellery style and options to choose from.
