Eyebrow Piercing

£20

Eyebrow piercings are amongst one of the most popular piercings we perform in our studios, with this simple surface piercing appealing to huge numbers of body mod fans.  The eyebrow piercing first became popular in the 1970's and was heavily featured in the punk scene. Once considered an unconventional and rebellious body modification, eyebrow piercings can now be seen on all manner of piercing fans!  With various jewellery options available from statement BCR rings to subtle barbells, you can customize your eyebrow piercing to look as punk and bad-ass or as feminine and dainty as you like.

In general, eyebrow piercings are reported to be one of the least painful types of surface piercings, with many customers reporting the pain as very similar to waxing or plucking the eyebrow.  The main factor contributing to the eyebrow piercing's low pain level is that it is a very quick procedure and is less prone to soreness during initial healing than other piercings.  Of course, as with any piercing, each individual's experience of pain will be different, but if this piercing is the one you want, if you can grit your teeth and bear it, you will be left with a seriously cool body mod to show off!

Healing:  Eyebrow piercings typically take 6-8 weeks to heal provided the correct aftercare advice is followed. Once healed, eyebrow piercing jewellery can be changed without much pain or discomfort.

To aid the healing process, make sure that you:

Only touch the piercing with clean hands

Avoid shaving or plucking the pierced eyebrow

Clean the piercing with cotton wool balls or gauze socked in saltwater solution

Avoid sleeping on the piercing

Avoid applying any cosmetics to the area

It is normal to experience some mild bruising and swelling during the healing process. However, if you experience persistent swelling, redness, pain or discharge please return to your piercer for an assessment.

It's important to note with eyebrow piercings that the skin is very thin and can be prone to closing over quickly, so if you want to keep your eyebrow piercing in, do not take your jewellery out for long. If you are worried about not being able to replace your jewellery, causing it to close over, please visit one of our piercers who will be happy to help you.

Jewellery:  There are many types of jewellery you can wear in an eyebrow piercingto create different looks. The most common types include captive bead rings, barbells and curved barbells.
